Renovation Update: Frames to lock up!

It has been a while since I posted and a lot has changed since the slab was poured for the extension! The rain did not let up but the builders pushed through and we are now well and truly at lock up.

I wanted the back extension to be set apart from the original house and front extension so we reused the windows from the former extension in the front two bedrooms and ensuite to tie it in to the original house and chose double-glazed aluminium windows for all the living areas at the back. To further break up the spaces, the front extension and original house will be painted in Dulux Bay’s Water and the rear extension has been clad in western red cedar.

Here’s how things are shaping up..
